Scott Roblin
Sports Reporter
Scott Roblin is a Sports Reporter with Global Saskatoon.
Scott graduated from the Radio, Television and Broadcast News program from SAIT in 2014, after which he began working for his hometown radio station in Okotoks Alberta. After that, Scott joined CJVR and CK750 in Melfort, Saskatchewan where he called play-by-play hockey for the SJHL. Scott then moved on to spend five and a half years with CHAT Television in Medicine Hat, Alberta, where he filled a variety of roles including Sports Director and anchor, before joining Global Saskatoon in the summer of 2022.
During his now decade long career, Scott has earned recognition for his reporting including the Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association Media Recognition Award, and two RTDNA nominations for television sports reporting.
Some of his career highlights include covering the Grey Cup week in Regina, Saskatchewan, becoming only the second play-by-play voice of the WHL’s Medicine Hat Tigers, calling play-by-play for a SJHL Championship and covering events such as the World U17 Hockey Challenge and National Junior A Championship.
When he is not busy reporting, Scott enjoys spending his time playing guitar, skiing, golfing and cooking.
