Skylar Peters is a digital journalist at Global Calgary.
He was previously a reporter with Global Winnipeg and a news anchor with 680 CJOB and brought four years of media experience to those role.
Skylar’s journey in journalism began after completing his education at Lethbridge College in southern Alberta. While in college, he kick-started his career by earning the Troy Reeb scholarship, offering him on-the-job experience at Global Toronto and Global Ottawa.
Prior to joining CJOB, Skylar worked at TSN 1290 in Winnipeg. In his time with CJOB, Skylar made significant contributions to the news gathering team and was included in several RTDNA nominations.
Outside of work Skylar enjoys outdoor activities like golfing, snowboarding, biking, and cheering for his favourite teams: The Seattle Seahawks, the Chicago Blackhawks, and the Toronto Blue Jays.
